Jeff Vinik will miss Stadium Series after snowmobile crash

Unfortunately, Lightning owner Jeff Vinik will be unable to attend the Sunday Stadium Series game at Raymond James Stadium due to a recent snowmobiling accident in Norway that resulted in a major leg fracture. Although he is expected to make a full recovery under the care of medical professionals, Vinik will not be present at the event he worked tirelessly to bring to Tampa. Despite this setback, the organization is grateful for his resilience and dedication to the team. Vinik, who transformed the Lightning into a successful franchise since acquiring a controlling stake in 2010, dreamed of bringing an outdoor game to Tampa early on. Thanks to his efforts and the innovative idea of a temperature-controlled tent, Tampa was awarded the Stadium Series last January. With Vinik passing control to incoming owners next season, the event will mark a milestone in his legacy.
