Investigation underway for fatal San Jose mall crash
The San Jose Police Department reported that a tragic accident in a shopping center parking lot resulted in the death of a woman on Tuesday. This marks the city's second fatal crash and traffic fatality of the year. The incident occurred around 11:17 a.m. at the intersection of Lido Way and Thackeray Lane, when a van hit a female pedestrian. The driver, an adult male, remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and her identity has not been released.
