Investigation ongoing in fatal auto-pedestrian collision involving Edcouch man
The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking into a fatal car-pedestrian collision that occurred near Weslaco. The incident happened on F.M. 1015 south of Mile 13 ½ N Road, where a man lost his life after being struck by a gray 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. Reports suggest that the pedestrian unexpectedly ran towards the vehicle and was hit by its right-side mirror. The driver stopped to help, and the pedestrian, identified as Raul Palomin, was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation into this tragic event is ongoing.
