Investigation of deadly accident on Texas State Highway 130
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred on southbound State Highway 130 near FM 973 early Monday morning. According to a DPS sergeant, the incident involved a Chevrolet work van parked on the shoulder being struck by a Ford F-550. Unfortunately, the driver of the work van was killed, and the driver of the truck was hospitalized for treatment. The crash caused the closure of two southbound lanes on SH-130, but they have since been reopened. Further details about the incident are still being looked into by authorities.
