Investigation launched into deadly solo car accident in Springfield
A fatal single-vehicle accident in Springfield on Saturday evening has left one person dead, the Springfield Police Department reports. The crash happened around 6:29 p.m. when a vehicle traveling west on East Norton Road veered off the road, hitting a guardrail and ejecting the driver near 210 East Norton Road. The driver was discovered deceased at the crash site. The police are investigating, and further details will be shared once the next of kin has been informed.
