Investigation into deadly collision at Okeechobee Blvd and Florida Turnpike junction
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has reported a fatal two-car collision at the intersection of Okeechobee Boulevard and the Florida Turnpike entrance on December 23. According to authorities, Silvia Reano Espinoza was driving a Lincoln Corsair and turned left through a red light, leading to a collision with a Jeep Wagoneer driven by Jonathan Andrew Zawislak. Both vehicles were pushed onto a pedestrian island due to the impact. While Espinoza sustained serious injuries and Zawislak had minor injuries, a passenger in the Lincoln named Ingrid Aida Calderon Reano was critically injured and later passed away in the hospital.
