Intoxicated Driver in Deadly Crash
Investigators from the police department have stated that the driver accused of causing a deadly accident was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana at the time of the incident. Jason Lee Evans reportedly had a blood alcohol level almost four times over the legal limit. Tragically, 17-year-old Hayden Baker lost his life in the collision on October 21. Baker was waiting on his motorcycle to turn left at the North Broadway and Hunter Avenue intersection when Evans, driving a '03 Chevy truck, struck him from behind. Evans allegedly did not report the crash to the police until he reached his residence, fleeing the scene initially. It is anticipated that Evans will face multiple felony charges.
