Police investigate hit-and-run in Laplace
Authorities in St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana are investigating a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the tragic death of a pedestrian. The incident occurred early in the morning on U.S. Highway 61, where 59-year-old Darius Crump was struck by a Ford F-250 pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Gregory Cohn Jr. Cohn allegedly fled the scene but was later apprehended by Louisiana State Police troopers. He has been charged with hit-and-run driving and obstruction of justice. The investigation is ongoing.
