Intersection on Lower East Side of Pueblo Shut Down Due to Fatal Accident
A deadly collision has resulted in the closure of an intersection on Pueblo's lower east side, and authorities are urging motorists to steer clear of the site. The Pueblo Police Department shared the news on social media around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, stating their prompt response to a fatal single-vehicle accident at the junction of South Portland Avenue and South Joplin Avenue. Following the incident, one fatality was reported by the PPD. Commuters are advised to find alternative routes and to be cautious of emergency crews in the vicinity.
