Intersection crash leaves 1 dead, 1 seriously injured
A fatal two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Shelby Lane and Jacks Creek Pike resulted in one person's death and another person being seriously injured, confirmed officials. The incident was reported around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, prompting a response from the Lexington Police Department. Upon arrival, one driver was declared deceased while the other was transported to the hospital with severe injuries. As of 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, the road remains closed, and authorities have advised avoiding the area while investigations are ongoing. The Collision Reconstruction Team is currently looking into the crash.
