Identified suspect causes fatal crash killing O.C. man, 59
A 21-year-old male suspect, identified as Darwin Felipe Bahamon Martinez, was involved in a fatal high-speed chase that resulted in a violent crash where an innocent driver lost their life. The incident started with Anaheim Police spotting Martinez driving recklessly in a dark-colored Jeep Gladiator. Despite an initial attempt to stop Martinez, he fled the scene triggering a pursuit. Within minutes, he collided with an innocent motorist in Placentia. Sadly, the 59-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while an 83-year-old female driver involved in the crash sustained minor injuries. Martinez was swiftly apprehended and faces charges for his actions. The investigation is ongoing, and the victims' identities have not been disclosed. The California Highway Patrol Major Accident Investigation Team has taken over the case due to the fatality.
