Idaho State Police looking for witnesses of deadly I-84 accident

NAMPA, Idaho — Idaho State Police is seeking assistance from the community following a tragic accident that resulted in the death of a young person. The incident took place on Tuesday, Nov. 25 around 3:00 p.m. on westbound I-84 near milepost 39. A 2007 GMC Sierra collided with a 2013 Ford F450 box truck, causing the GMC's juvenile occupant to lose their life at the accident site. Three other individuals in the GMC were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, those in the Ford truck were unharmed. The Ford was operated by a 21-year-old male from Nampa, Idaho, with one adult male passenger. The GMC was driven by a 31-year-old male from Meridian, Idaho, and had juvenile passengers as well. The Idaho State Police are actively investigating the crash, which received initial support from various agencies including the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Canyon County Paramedics, Nampa Fire Department, and Idaho Transportation Department. Officials are requesting anyone who witnessed the collision, possesses information about it, or has footage of the event to reach out to ISP Dispatch at 208-846-7500.
