Woman dies in multivehicle crash in Taunton, Massachusetts
A woman died Monday in a multivehicle crash Monday in Taunton, Massachusetts.Police were called just after 10 a.m. to 595 Winthrop St., where they found a BMW with damage to the driver's side, perched on a parking bumper.The driver, Ivonne Caicedo Gallego, 44, of Taunton, was located outside of the vehicle with traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead. A Kia SUV was also found with damage behind the white BMW. A man who was driving the SUV and his female passenger were taken to Rhode Island Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. A semitruck with a detached trailer and two other motor vehicles sustained minor damage as a result of the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
