I-89 wrong-way driver charged with murder

Police issued new criminal citations to the man accused of causing a deadly three-car crash on Interstate-89 in Bolton last year.Timothy Wooster, 45, of Jericho is accused of driving north on the southbound lane of the highway on Dec. 17 and crashing head-on with another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle, Hailey Westcot, 21, of Northfield, died at the scene.A tractor-trailer driving south behind Westcot was unable to stop and collided with the back of her vehicle, causing it to roll over. The crash brought the highway to a complete standstill for hours.On Friday, police said they issued new criminal citations to Wooster, including twelve counts each of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment and second-degree murder. He was previously cited for grossly negligent operation with death resulting.Wooster is due in court to answer to the charges on March 12.
