A crash involving multiple tractor-trailers shut down a stretch of Interstate 81 in Cumberland County, according to PennDOT. Video above: WGAL Reporter Gabriel Thomas reports from the crash scene. Three tractor-trailers collided in the northbound lanes in Southampton Township near Exit 29, King Street/Route 174, around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday. PennDOT said one tractor-trailer was carrying raw chicken, and another one was hauling mail. No injuries have been reported at this time. I-81 closedAccording to PennDOT, the wreck left a large debris field scattered across the interstate. All lanes of Interstate 81 northbound are closed. Traffic is being directed off the highway at Exit 24, Fayette Street/Route 696, in Franklin County. PennDOT said the interstate will be shut down for several hours. Expect delays in the area.
