I-80 in Placer County reopens after 10-vehicle crash involving semi-truck

I-80 in Placer County reopened Tuesday morning after a crash involving twelve vehicles including two semi-trucks on Monday afternoon, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The road reopened around 7:30 a.m. this morning, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). This was after California Highway Patrol and the Caltrans hazmat team were able to clear the lanes. According to traffic crews, the crash happened Monday July 20, around 2:30 p.m. This was 2.1 miles east of Baxter on Westbound I-80.
