I-49 traffic delays due to accidents
UPDATE: The two multi-vehicle accidents on Interstate 49 northbound have been resolved, but traffic congestion persists as of 9:19 a.m. FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Two separate incidents occurred this morning, causing delays. The initial accident was reported around 8:29 a.m. near Mile Marker 66.9 by Fayetteville, resulting in the closure of the right shoulder and lane. Thankfully, there have been no injuries reported, and emergency services are present. A second accident occurred near Exit 81 close to Rogers around 8:50 a.m., leading to the closure of the right lane and shoulder. As with the previous accident, there have been no reported injuries, and emergency responders are on-site.
