I-395 in reopens after serious crash in Norwich
NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — A portion of Interstate 395 has reopened Tuesday after a crash where serious injuries were reported in Norwich, according to state officials. Around 10:50 a.m., Connecticut State Police troopers responded to the report of a crash on I-395 south near Exit 14. LIFESTAR was initially called, but later cancelled, and the victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries by EMS, state police said. The crash initially closed both directions of the highway. As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, only the northbound side of the highway remained closed between Exits 14 and 18, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation. As of roughly 4 p.m., the scene has cleared, according to CTDOT. Additional information was not immediately available. This is a developing story. Stay with News 8 for updates.
