Highway 80 in Garden City closed due to fatal collision
A fatal collision caused the closure of a section of Highway 80 in Garden City on Tuesday afternoon. Police Chief Brandon Blouin from Garden City reported that the accident involving two vehicles occurred shortly after 1 p.m. near Talmadge Avenue. Sadly, one individual lost their life in the crash, while two others were hospitalized with injuries of undisclosed severity. The Georgia State Patrol is overseeing the investigation at the location, with support from the Garden City police, fire department, Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, and Chatham Emergency Services.
