High school students in California injured in car collision
A number of students were hurt in a collision in Anaheim. The incident occurred at the intersection of North St. and Harbor Blvd. on Wednesday just before 3 p.m. The students, who were members of Anaheim High School's running club, were running when a red sedan hit them as they waited for the traffic light to change. Police suspect that the driver might have been driving under the influence. The driver and multiple teenagers were taken to the hospital. Reports suggest that at least eight teenagers were affected, with three in critical condition. A neighbor, Sonia Chavez, described the scene as distressing, with injured students lying and bleeding. A member of the running club mentioned that the driver seemed to have lost control and did not stop. Counseling support will be provided by the school for students and staff.
