Head-on crash near Lake Hefner leaves one dead, another critically injured
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — At least one person is dead, and another is in critical condition after a head-on collision on Monday morning near Lake Hefner. Officers responded to the 4300 block of West Hefner Road and North Meridian Avenue just after 7:10 a.m. on Monday to reports of a vehicle collision. According to authorities, a westbound vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into an eastbound vehicle. The driver traveling west was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the other vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Information regarding the victim has not yet been released.
