Officials identify three killed in SR 503 wrong-way crash

A wrong-way driver caused a deadly head-on crash early Sunday, July 5, on state Route 503 in Clark County, killing three people and injuring another, according to the Washington State Patrol. The deaths are still under investigation, and the medical examiner listed the cause and manner of death as pending for all three. The people who died were: Annalena Paige Haas, 27, of Vancouver. Andrew Hullette Allen, 46, whose city and state of residence were listed as unknown. Kelly Jean Parker, 42, whose city and state of residence were listed as unknown. The place of injury for all three was listed as "public highway," indicating that all died on impact. The medical examiner’s release did not specify which person was in which vehicle, but based on the initial information provided on July 5, 27-year-old Haas was a passenger in the Toyota 4Runner. Troopers said a 2011 Dodge Challenger was traveling the wrong way, northbound in the southbound lanes, when it struck a 2025 Toyota 4Runner head-on. The Dodge came to rest on its top, fully blocking the southbound lanes. Two people in the Dodge Challenger, the driver and a passenger, were killed at the scene, with their identities initially listed as pending by the Washington State Patrol. In the Toyota 4Runner, a 27-year-old man from Vancouver was injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. The sole survivor of the crash had not been publicly identified. A 27-year-old woman from Vancouver who was a passenger in the Toyota was killed at the scene, and her name was initially withheld with the passenger’s name redacted pending next-of-kin notification, but based on the medical examiner's office release on July 15, the woman was Annalena Paige Haas. The Washington State Patrol reported seat belts were not worn by the driver and passenger in the Dodge. Seat belts were worn by both the driver and passenger in the other vehicle. Troopers wrote in a report that they were unaware at that point of whether drugs or alcohol were involved, and have not updated their statement since the initial crash report. Both vehicles were totaled and towed.
