Gunshot victim found dead inside car after witnesses report gunshots, crash into woods
A man was found dead inside a car in Anderson County, South Carolina, Tuesday afternoon. The Anderson County Coroner's Office said the gunshot victim was found at the intersection of Nelson Drive and Highway 76. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office said two 911 calls came in around 1:30 p.m. The first call reported hearing gunshots and the second call was for a traffic accident when a maroon Kia crashed into the wooded area nearby.Authorities said a man was found dead inside the car with a gunshot wound. Bullet holes were also found on the outside of the car.Deputies initially reported that two individuals were detained, but are now being labeled as witnesses to the shooting.
