Go-kart crash leaves two dead in Denver
DENVER (KDVR) — Two people were pronounced dead after a crash involving a go-kart in the southwestern part of Denver. On Sunday night, just before midnight, the Denver Police Department said there was a deadly crash in the area of South Federal Boulevard and West Evans Avenue. This is near a Walmart Supercenter, between the Harvey Park and College View - South Platte neighborhoods. Police originally said the crash involved a motorist and motorcyclist, however, in a Monday afternoon update, police said what was originally reported as a motorcycle was determined to be a go-kart. Police said one person was pronounced dead on scene, and the other occupant in the go-kart was pronounced dead at the hospital. The crash is currently under investigation. Police said no arrests or citations have been filed at this time.
