Getaway cars collide after burglary at Anaheim jewelry store
A group of thieves intentionally drove a SUV into a jewelry store in Anaheim, then fled in separate vehicles after crashing them during a police chase on Friday afternoon. The Anaheim Police Department reported that the suspects crashed the SUV into the jewelry store and began stealing items. They then took off in two getaway cars, leading officers on a pursuit into Fullerton before crashing. The first car crashed at Lemon Street and E. Orangethorpe Avenue, while the second crashed near Euclid Street and W. Malvern Avenue. Police closed the intersections for investigation. The four suspects managed to evade police after the crashes, but three of them have since been apprehended.
