Friend recalls man behind fatal wrong-way crash

A longtime friend of Hernan Marrero expressed her sadness and confirmed that this Facebook photo shows the man behind this week's deadly wrong-way crash involving a state trooper.Zinah Abukhalil-Quiñonez said she has known Marrero for 30 years. She told us he had just turned 50, and "was living his happiest times."She said that Marrero was an incredibly hardworking person who had dedicated his life to his three sons and was loved by many people. She added that he remained very close friends with his ex-wife, Sarah."He was just generous, loving and vivacious, loved music, loved being around people and celebrating. And you know he, he was incredible," Abukhalil-Quiñonez said.Video below: Fiancée remembers Trooper TrainorTrooper Kevin Trainor, 30, died early Wednesday morning after his cruiser was struck by Marrero's Jeep. Trainor's shift had ended minutes before the deadly crash on Route 1 in Lynnfield. Abukhalil-Quiñonez said it was a huge shock to hear the news of the crash, and that she simply could not comprehend what had happened. She added that her heart goes out to everyone who was hurt by this tragedy."First of all, what happened was horrific, horrible, and I'm really sorry for everyone that's been impacted by this," she said.
