Franklin County teen killed in motorcycle accident
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. - A Pacific teenager was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Memorial Day. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old man was driving a 2023 Yamaha YZF-R3 MTC Monday around 12:30 p.m. While traveling eastbound on Congress Street, just east of Hawthorne Drive, the teen went onto the right shoulder in attempt to pass another car, lost control, overturned and struck a guardrail. He was then ejected from the motorcycle, into a highway sign post, MSHP said. The teen was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
