The incident involved a Suburu Crossover at the intersection of CR 21 and US 77, attempting to turn south on US 77 towards Corpus Christi. The vehicle failed to yield the right of way to northbound traffic and was hit by a Hyundai Santa Fe, causing it to roll over. A 22-year-old male passenger in the Suburu was airlifted by Halo Flight, while the driver of the Suburu and two passengers in the Santa Fe were taken by ambulance. The Suburu driver received a citation for not yielding the right of way. UPDATE - 10:31 a.m. The Sheriff's Office and Texas Department of Public Safety were unable to provide further details at this time.
