Four injured in collision on S.R. 749 in Clermont County

A traffic collision occurred in Clermont County on Saturday morning, as reported by the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The incident took place around 9:50 a.m. on S.R. 749 in Pierce Township. Reports indicate that a 2013 Hyundai Accent, driven by a 41-year-old woman hailing from Bethel, was traveling west on S.R. 749. Meanwhile, a 2017 GMC Yukon, operated by a 26-year-old woman from Amelia, was moving east on the same road. Initial investigations revealed that the Hyundai drifted left, resulting in a collision with the GMC, which veered off the south side of S.R. 749. The driver of the Hyundai and her 34-year-old passenger from Ripley sustained serious injuries and were transported to UC Medical Center. The occupants of the GMC, the driver, and her 27-year-old passenger from Amelia, were taken to the same medical center for minor injuries. The Batavia Post expressed gratitude towards the Pierce Township Police Department, Pierce Township Fire Department and EMS, Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Tarvin Auto Service for their assistance at the scene.
