Four dead after fatal single-vehicle crash in Pike County
PIKE COUNTY, Ala. (WRBL) — Four people are dead after a single-vehicle crash that happened on Friday night around 11:57 p.m. on Pike County 6628, roughly nine miles east of Banks in Pike County. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the crash happened due to a high-speed pursuit. According to ALEA, the driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old, Tykevious D. Russaw of Eufaula, was fatally injured after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Prior to the crash, Russaw was attempting to avoid a Trooper with ALEA Highway Patrol Division, according to ALEA officials. ALEA Troopers say Russaw was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. RELATED: Teen dies in single vehicle crash Twenty-seven-year-old, Robert D. Hall of Clayton, and a 17-year-old juvenile, who were both passengers in the vehicle also were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. ALEA says Hall and the juvenile were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth life claimed was 24-year-old, Quamay R. Richardson of Clayton, who was not ejected from the vehicle but was also pronounced dead at the scene. ALEA Troopers are currently leading the investigation.
