Fort Bliss confirms soldier, 21, died in East El Paso motorcycle crash

Fort Bliss confirms 21-year-old motorcyclist killed in an East El Paso crash on Wednesday was a soldier. According to Fort Bliss, Private First Class Steven Zamora was a 25U radio retransmission operator assigned to the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. "The 11th ADA is saddened by the loss of Pfc. Steven Zamora. The impact of this loss is felt across the entire formation," said Col. John Kirchgessner, commander of the 11th ADA Brigade. "We are focused on supporting Pfc. Steven Zamora’s family, his teammates, and our formation while ensuring this matter is handled with dignity and respect." Fort Bliss stated the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade is cooperating with the El Paso Police Department as the crash is still under investigation.
