First responders on scene at Clark County, Ill. wreck
CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Motorists were asked to avoid U.S. Highway 40 east of Marshall Wednesday afternoon following a serious traffic accident. "Emergency personnel are handling an accident on US Hwy 40 east of Marshall. Rt 40 will be closed for an extended time," Clark County Sheriff's officials wrote in a news release. "Local and passenger traffic will be diverted onto Livingston Road. Traffic will be able to access 40 from both the upper and lower Livingston Rd/Rt 40 intersections. Please avoid the area if at all possible." Further details about the wreck, including possible injuries, have not yet been released.
