FHP reports fatal accident on West Fort Island Trail due to loss of control by 71-year-old driver

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 71-year-old man from Crystal River died in a tragic accident on Friday. The man was driving east on West Fort Island Trail when he lost control of his vehicle for reasons unknown, veered off the road, and collided with trees, resulting in a fatal crash.
