Fatality in rollover accident on Willow Glen Rd in Yuba County
A fatal rollover accident occurred on Wednesday night just north of Collins Lake in Yuba County, as reported by officials from the California Highway Patrol's Yuba-Sutter division. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Willow Glen Road, north of Sky Glen Drive. The driver, operating a Nissan Altima southbound, veered into the northbound lane, resulting in the vehicle leaving the road and colliding with a concrete culvert. The car flipped onto its side, and the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries. Although early reports mentioned a possible fire, the CHP confirmed that no fire occurred. The crash did not involve any other vehicles. The authorities are still investigating if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Willow Glen Road, a two-lane county road, was closed in both directions for approximately 90 minutes during the emergency response and cleanup. The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
