Fatal US 277 crash claims life of ID's from TxDPS

Authorities in San Angelo, Texas have released more information about a recent deadly accident in Tom Green County on December 9. The Texas Department of Safety shared that the crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 277 and Reece Road at around 5:45 p.m. A report from TxDPS revealed that a 76-year-old man named Jose V. Gallegos from San Angelo was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer on Reece Road. He failed to yield at a stop sign to a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling on U.S. 277, resulting in a collision that tragically cost Gallegos his life. The individual driving the Outlander, a 27-year-old from Christoval, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Shannon Medical Center for treatment. It was noted that Gallegos was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and the weather and road conditions were clear and dry.
