Fatal shooting in Chicago results in one death in South Side crash, according to police.

A tragic incident occurred early Saturday morning on the South Side when a shooting led to a fatal car crash that resulted in one person losing their life and another being injured. The unfortunate event occurred in the Roseland neighborhood on E. 103rd Street. The Chicago Police Department reported that the victims, a 22-year-old female driver and a 28-year-old male passenger, were driving a dark blue Honda SUV when an unidentified car approached and gunmen inside it started shooting at them. The victims tried to flee but ended up crashing into a tree. The female driver succumbed to her injuries at Advocate Trinity Hospital, while the male passenger was seriously injured and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center. No other individuals were harmed, and the shooters managed to escape. The authorities are currently investigating the incident, but no suspects have been apprehended yet.
