Fatal pedestrian crash under investigation in Mamou
MAMOU, LA. (KLFY) -- Fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Friday morning is under investigation, according to the Mamou Police Department. The vehicle crash was located in the area of 8th Street and South Street around 4:50 a.m., police said. Upon arrival, officers located a pedestrian, identified as Crystal R. Edmunson, 51, who had been struck by the vehicle. Edmunson died at the scene due to severe injures from the collision. Police said the driver was determined not to be impaired at the time of the incident. This crash remains under active investigation.
