Fatal motorcycle crash claims life on US 13 in Pitt County
PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) -- North Carolina Highway Patrol investigates a fatal hit & run crash in Pitt County. On March 11, at approximately 7:53 p.m., Officials said the State Highway Patrol responded to a hit-and-run fatal collision on US13 at US264 Alternate near Moye Turnage Rd in Pitt County. According to officials, investigators determined that a vehicle turned in front of a motorcycle, subsequently fatally injuring the motorcycle operator. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and was last seen traveling south on US 13 toward Greene County. The suspect vehicle is believed to be dark in color with heavy damage to its passenger side.
