Fatal hit-and-run collision kills woman in Indianapolis suburb
IMPD is seeking the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a woman on the southwest side of Indianapolis. The incident occurred at the intersection of S. Girls School Rd. and Rockville Rd. early Friday morning. The victim, an adult woman, was critically injured and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The suspect vehicle, identified as an SUV, fled the scene after hitting the woman who was walking on the east side of S. Girls School Rd. Investigators located the unoccupied SUV in the 500 block of Beachway Drive and have towed it for further investigation. IMPD is actively searching for the suspect as the investigation continues.
