Fatal head-on collision on Lakewood Avenue
A tragic accident occurred in Atlanta on Tuesday night when a head-on collision involving a Kia K4 and a Genesis GV70 left one person dead and three others injured. The incident took place near the 2000 block of Lakewood Avenue around 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 20. Authorities arrived at the scene to find the aftermath of the collision and determine that the Genesis had veered into oncoming traffic, leading to the crash. The 53-year-old Kia driver was pronounced dead on-site, while two passengers in the Kia sustained injuries, one critically. The Genesis driver was transported to the hospital in stable condition. Investigations are ongoing, and the identity of the deceased individual has not been disclosed yet. It remains uncertain whether any charges will be brought in connection with the accident.
