Tragically, a fatal incident occurred in Monterey County involving a Tesla sedan early Monday morning. According to authorities, the driver of the white Tesla was killed after the vehicle crashed into a tree and caught fire. The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident took place on River Road near Chualar River Road south of Salinas around 1:41 a.m. The cause of the crash is currently unknown, and it is unclear if alcohol, drugs, or the vehicle's self-driving mode played a role.
