Fatal crash under investigation in Marion County, Arkansas
MARION COUNTY, Ark. — The Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) says their deputies are investigating a fatal crash in the county that occurred Saturday morning. According to a social media post, MCSO says the crash happened at the intersection of County Road 7019 and County Road 7023 north of Flippin at approximately 4:45 a.m on April 4. There, a vehicle carrying four people lost control while trying to turn around a bend in the roadway and overturned, throwing one occupant from the vehicle. The individual who was thrown from the vehicle died, while the three other occupants were taken to Baxter Regional Hospital for treatment, MCSO says. The Arkansas State Police is assisting the MCSO in the crash investigation. MCSO says additional information about the crash will be released once it becomes available.
