Fatal crash on W. Ridge Road
Law enforcement officers in Greece responded to a tragic car accident on Saturday afternoon on W Ridge Road near Elmgrove Road. The crash, which resulted in a fatality, occurred when a single-occupant vehicle traveling west on W. Ridge Road collided with the back of a stationary vehicle waiting at a red light at the intersection with Elmgrove Road. The driver of the striking vehicle was declared deceased at the scene. Westbound West Ridge Road has been shut down as detectives examine the area. Emergency responders from Monroe Ambulance and North Greece Fire District also provided assistance. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
