Fatal crash on U.S. 12 in Washtenaw County
A fatal two-vehicle collision occurred on Wednesday in Washtenaw County, as stated by the Michigan State Police. The incident, which resulted in one fatality and a woman being injured, took place around 12:14 p.m. on U.S. 12 close to Lima Center Road in Brookfield Township. Reports indicate that a 34-year-old man from Clinton was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu and had been driving recklessly, passing vehicles and swerving before colliding with a 2018 Jeep Compass being driven by a 42-year-old woman from Quincy. The woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to University of Michigan Hospital, with a positive outlook for recovery. Tragically, the Malibu driver passed away at the crash site. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
