Fatal crash on Route 25 in Rumney claims two lives, authorities report
In the early afternoon on Friday, first responders from Rumney Fire Department were called to a traffic collision on Route 25 in Rumney, accompanied by an ambulance from Plymouth. Upon arrival, officials discovered two vehicles involved in a head-on crash. One driver was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries, while the occupants of the other vehicle were tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. The road was closed for about five hours for investigation and cleanup. The incident is under examination by Rumney Police Department, with support from various agencies including New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's Office. Personnel from Rumney and Plymouth Fire Departments, along with ambulance services, were also present at the scene.
