Fatal crash on North Freeway caused by woman driving with flat tire
A tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning on the North Freeway that resulted in the death of a woman. The Harris County Sheriff's Office reported that the fatal collision took place around 2:30 a.m. near the Lone Star RV dealership. The woman, driving a Honda Fit with a flat tire, was rear-ended by a Jeep Wrangler in one of the main lanes, causing a chain reaction involving a Toyota Camry and a Mercedes-Benz. The impact killed the female driver of the Honda Fit at the scene. Fortunately, the drivers of the Jeep, Camry, and Mercedes, aged 18, 34, and 34 respectively, escaped unharmed and were found to be sober. The accident prompted the closure of part of the freeway for several hours as authorities investigated the scene. The woman's identity is yet to be disclosed.
