Fatal crash on Humphrey Road claims Sutter County driver
A fatal accident occurred in Sutter County on Thursday evening, resulting in the unfortunate death of one individual, as per officials' reports. The incident involved a red Chevrolet Silverado that traveled through the t-intersection at Humphrey Road and Butte House Road around 5:45 p.m. The driver, a man in his thirties, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was subsequently taken to a hospital where he passed away. Although the cause of the crash, including the potential role of driving under the influence, is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), it was noted that an open alcoholic beverage container was found in the vehicle. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and the incident did not lead to any road closures.
