Fatal crash involving motorcycle, dump truck shuts State Road 7 near Royal Palm Beach
A motorcyclist died in a crash with a large truck Friday afternoon that closed State Road 7 between Okeechobee Boulevard and Orange Grove Boulevard near Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach police said. The crash was on the border of Royal Palm Beach and West Palm Beach with the city police agency saying to avoid the area because of a crash investigation. The road reopened after 6:15 p.m.At 2:20 p.m., Palm Beach County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the SR7 extension north of Okeechobee Boulevard. One person was pronounced dead on the scene by PBCFR paramedics. The scene was turned over to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office for investigation.
