Fatal crash injures children after car collides with school bus near Manhattan, Illinois
A fatal accident occurred involving a car and a school bus just outside Manhattan, Illinois, southwest of Chicago on Thursday morning. The driver of the car was killed, while the school bus driver along with the 10 students on board were taken to the hospital for evaluation. The incident took place on Manhattan-Monee Road, close to the Village of Manhattan. The road was temporarily closed in both directions. A parent named Donna Hyland shared her experience when she found out her daughter was on the school bus involved in the crash. Despite the initial panic, all the children were physically unhurt, and supportive measures were taken at the hospital to comfort them and their families. The investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing as of 10 a.m. on Monday.
