Fatal crash in San Fernando Valley: Mustang slides across lanes, strikes tree.
A driver lost control of a car and crashed into a tree in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, resulting in the death of a passenger. The incident took place overnight on Valley Circle Boulevard near Valerie Avenue in Woodland Hills. The impact of the crash caused the tree to fall onto the vehicle, almost splitting it in half with a passenger trapped inside. A neighbor, Francisco Flores, attempted to rescue the passenger by extinguishing a fire that broke out, but unfortunately, he was unable to save the individual. Authorities confirmed that a man in his early 20s lost his life in the crash, while the driver and another passenger escaped before the car caught fire. The driver sustained injuries and is in stable condition in a hospital, and the other passenger received treatment at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, with speed being a likely factor, though it is uncertain if drugs or alcohol played a role. Valley Circle Boulevard was closed during the investigation.
